The Machinery Assembly & Service Technician assembles industrial machinery and subassemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and written or verbal specifications. This role also supports field installation, troubleshooting, acceptance testing, and operator training for large capital equipment at customer sites. This position involves 20%-50% travel, including domestic and international assignments. Field service travel includes an additional 30% hourly pay increase. Responsibilities- Assemble machinery and subassemblies per drawings, procedures, and specifications
- Drill, tap, ream, align, and secure machine components
- Install moving parts (shafts, bearings, levers) and verify free movement
- Install hydraulic hoses per schematic
- Run conduit and wiring; make electrical connections to specifications
- Join major subassemblies and connect to electrical enclosures
- Test and assist in testing completed equipment
- Power up machinery, confirm motor rotation, and verify operation of drives, logic controls, and HMI
- Perform acceptance testing per customer agreement
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and performance issues in the shop and field
- Supervise rigging crews and secure machinery during installation
- Direct licensed contractors for electrical and pneumatic connections
- Train operators on safe setup, operation, and basic maintenance
- Review maintenance procedures hands-on with qualified personnel
- Document all work completely in field service reports
- Travel domestically and internationally for installations and service calls Education & Experience
- Associate's degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school OR
- 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training OR
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics
- Mechanical assembly and troubleshooting skills
- Basic electrical wiring and control familiarity
- Ability to read safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively with customers and internal teams
- Practical application of fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- Basic understanding of geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization

Pay Details:
