Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Water Mitigation Technician and become a vital part of restoring properties affected by water, flood, fire, and mold damage. In this energetic role, you will respond promptly to emergency situations, assess damage, and execute comprehensive mitigation and restoration services. Your expertise will help clients recover quickly from disasters while ensuring safety and adherence to industry standards. This position offers on-call coverage, requiring flexibility and a proactive attitude to deliver exceptional customer service during critical moments. Duties Respond swiftly to emergency calls involving water, flood, fire, mold, or asbestos-related incidents to minimize damage and facilitate rapid recovery. Perform water extraction, drying, cleaning, and mold remediation using specialized equipment such as pumps, dehumidifiers, air movers, hand tools, power tools, and carpet cleaning machines. Conduct detailed assessments of affected areas to determine scope of work and develop accurate estimates using Xactimate or similar industry software. Implement safety protocols diligently by utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection gear, and following strict safety procedures during all mitigation activities. Operate company vehicles responsibly for on-site visits while maintaining vehicle safety standards and documentation. Assist with fire restoration efforts including soot removal, odor control, and debris cleanup; support asbestos abatement when necessary. Collaborate with team members and clients professionally to ensure clear communication and high-quality service throughout the restoration process. Qualifications Prior experience in the restoration industry or construction is highly preferred; familiarity with flood restoration, water damage restoration, mold remediation, or fire restoration is a plus. Demonstrated emergency response readiness with the ability to work under pressure in urgent situations. Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward assisting clients during stressful times. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, carpet cleaning equipment, and company vehicles safely and effectively. Knowledge of safety protocols including PPE use and respiratory protection adherence is essential. Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Flexibility to provide on-call coverage outside regular hours to respond promptly to emergencies. Construction experience or familiarity with asbestos abatement is desirable but not required; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
