Technology, Software, IT, Electronics Description Description SAIC is looking for a Field Service Technician to support the AC-130 gunship located at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico .
NOTE:
Position is located full time at Cannon
AFB. JOB RESPONSIBLITES
Interfaces with the customer to handle service inquiries and problems to include performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order. Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action. May make technical presentations and has a strong knowledge of products. Trains customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance responsibilities. Provides technical support for the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems in the areas of field service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and training support to the Air Force squadron at Cannon AFB. Provides on-site technical support for weapons and associated equipment used by the squadron. Acts as the liaison between the squadron and the Small Arms Branch at Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, IN for any technical issues related to the 30mm and 105mm weapons systems. Qualifications
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years of preventative and corrective aircraft maintenance experience. Must possess experience as an Air Force Mechanic with a focus on engine maintenance and production processes. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim secret needed to start. Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have public speaking skills and the ability to deliver presentations to groups. Must have experience with maintenance data collection systems. Must have the motivation and ability to research directives, regulations and policies to determine solutions to problems, issues and concerns. Must have a commitment to customer service and be proactive in implementing policy as well as identifying and solving problems. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and have the ability to learn company software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have dexterity in fingers in both hands. Ability to pick up and carry 70 lbs. for a distance of 50 feet. Able to withstand exposure to temperature extremes in performance of duties.
TRAVEL AND SHIFT REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will be required to travel up to 25% world wide. Candidate will be working a rotating shift.
