We restore furniture, millwork, doors, panels, conference tables, metal, and stone so occupied offices look original again — without replacement. The role This is not cabinet building and not wall painting. We need someone with an artist's eye who can make damage disappear. You will color-match stains, grains, sheens, wood surfaces, metal finishes, and natural stone so a scratch, chip, water mark, or gouge looks original again. This is in a commercial office environment working on furniture including chairs, doors, tables, cabinets, etc. Essential responsibilities Inspect wood, metal, and stone surfaces and choose the correct repair method. Color-match stains, grains, tones, and sheens to the existing finish. Repair cuts, scrapes, gouges, dings, burns, ink, and water damage on desks, credenzas, conference tables, doors, panels, rails, and similar commercial furnishings. Blend repairs so they are not visible at standing height. Perform limited surface refinishing (fill, stain, seal, topcoat) when a full strip is not required. Work on-site in professional office environments and in the shop as needed.

Represent GBS with clients:

clean, punctual, discreet, and finished-looking work. Maintain tools, touch-up materials, and a job-ready kit. Must-have qualifications Proven color matching and blending (wood grain, stain, sheen). Building cabinets alone does not qualify.

Strong visual judgment:

undertone, grain direction, and gloss level. Steady hand and patience for detail work. Ability to work independently in client offices with little supervision. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in the DFW area. Professional appearance and communication.

Pay:

$27.00 - $33.50 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week
