Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Field Service Technician specializing in Generator Services! In this energetic role, you will be the frontline expert responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting power generation systems and related mechanical and electrical equipment. Your expertise will ensure our clients' critical power systems operate flawlessly, providing peace of mind and uninterrupted service. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service and technical solutions. Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on emergency standby generators. Diagnose and repair generator mechanical and electrical failures. Troubleshoot generator control systems, transfer switches (ATS), charging systems, and engine-related issues. Perform inspections and annual services Perform load bank testing on commercial generators. Test and inspect Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS). Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and service manuals. Complete detailed service reports using company software or mobile devices. Communicate repair recommendations to customers professionally. Maintain company vehicle, tools, and test equipment. Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours and weekends on a rotating on-call schedule. Follow OSHA safety standards and company safety procedures. Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively at customer locations. Skills Diesel engine diagnostics Electrical troubleshooting (120V-480V) Automatic Transfer Switch diagnostics Load bank testing experience Generator controller programming Battery charging system diagnostics Preventative maintenance experience Excellent customer service and communication skills This role is perfect for motivated technicians eager to advance their careers in generator services while making a tangible impact through expert repairs and outstanding customer support. $55,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
