- Field Diesel Generator Technician / Mechanic (Southern Texas) THIS is a Company- Direct Full-Time Position!!
- The Ideal Candidate for this position will live in South Texas and have significant DIRECT experience working on Diesel Generators including start-ups, transfer switches, load banks and overall maintenance and repair of diesel generators.
An insurable driving record, ownership of tools and residence somewhere within the service territory are also important qualifications. We are looking for responsible technicians who can interface with customers and satisfy their service needs while providing proper billing information for services. The incumbent will strive to increase technical skills through attending company -sponsored vocational schools, annual training meetings, and reading company technical literature. All Field technicians should promote company image by maintaining a neat personal clean personal appearance and keeping their service trucks in clean and orderly condition.
The facts:
1) Work will generally be from your home and time starts when you leave and ends when you return home. 2) You will be issued a
NEW SERVICE
TRUCK and will operate from it. 3) All travel expenses are paid by company credit card which will be issued to you (all expenses are included fuel, meals lodging ( if necessary), parts or fluids if need to buy near location. maintenance of the truck its-self ect. 4) Overnight travel is rare but could happen depending on need, generally home nightly 5) You will need to have your own tools, and build your tool inventory as needed, some company owned tools are available. Crane, air compressor and welder are already on the truck.
