Water Mitigation Team Manager San Antonio, TX Full-Time | In Person About the Role We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and hands-on Water Mitigation Team Manager to lead our water mitigation and water damage restoration crews in the San Antonio area. This is a leadership position for someone who understands what it takes to manage a restoration job from the initial emergency response through drying, demolition, documentation, and completion. The Mitigation Team Manager will be responsible for leading technicians in the field, maintaining production standards, communicating with homeowners and customers, and ensuring jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally. The ideal candidate has experience in water mitigation, water damage restoration, construction, demolition, or property restoration and is comfortable leading a team while still getting involved in the work when needed. You will play an important role in helping homeowners and businesses recover from water damage, leaks, floods, plumbing failures, and other property losses . ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership & Job-Site Management Lead, train, and supervise water mitigation technicians and demolition crews Assign daily work, coordinate schedules, and ensure crews arrive prepared and on time Conduct job-site inspections and monitor the quality and progress of mitigation work Ensure technicians follow company procedures, safety requirements, and IICRC standards Lead by example and assist the team with hands-on mitigation, demolition, and equipment installation when needed Identify issues in the field and communicate them promptly to management Maintain accountability for crew productivity, workmanship, job completion, and customer satisfaction Help train new technicians on water mitigation procedures, equipment, documentation, and customer service Water Mitigation & Restoration Respond to residential and commercial water damage restoration projects Evaluate affected areas and identify visible and potential water damage Perform and/or oversee water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and cleanup Set up and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and other drying equipment Perform moisture monitoring using moisture meters and other appropriate equipment Determine appropriate drying strategies based on job conditions and established procedures Perform controlled demolition of drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinetry, baseboards, and other damaged materials when necessary Establish containment and protect unaffected areas using plastic, floor protection, and dust-control measures Monitor drying progress and make equipment adjustments as needed Recognize potential mold, microbial growth, or additional damage and communicate concerns appropriately Coordinate with project managers, estimators, property managers, homeowners, insurance representatives, and other restoration professionals Documentation & Job Management Maintain accurate daily job notes, photographs, moisture readings, equipment logs, and completion documentation Ensure jobs are properly documented from initial inspection through completion Review technician documentation for accuracy and completeness Maintain accurate equipment placement and removal records Communicate job progress, changes, and potential issues to management Assist with estimating and scope development when appropriate Utilize restoration software and technology for job documentation and communication Ensure work is performed according to the approved scope and company procedures Customer Service Communicate professionally with homeowners, tenants, property managers, and customers Explain the mitigation and drying process in a clear and understandable manner Set appropriate expectations regarding equipment, demolition, drying times, and next steps Address customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary Treat customers' homes, belongings, and property with care and respect Represent the company professionally at every job site Safety & Equipment Enforce proper use of PPE and company safety procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Ensure company vehicles, tools, and mitigation equipment are properly maintained Monitor equipment inventory and report damaged or missing equipment Safely load, transport, set up, and remove mitigation equipment and materials Follow OSHA, IICRC, and company safety requirements Qualifications Ideally 2+ years of experience in water mitigation, water damage restoration, construction, remodeling, demolition, or a related field - But NOT Required Previous experience supervising, leading, or mentoring a restoration or construction crew preferred

certification preferred ASD certification or additional IICRC certifications are a plus Strong understanding of water mitigation and structural drying principles Experience operating air movers, dehumidifiers, extraction equipment, moisture meters, and related restoration equipment Comfortable performing demolition and other physically demanding field work Ability to read and understand job scopes and work orders Experience with job documentation, photographs, moisture readings, and equipment logs Experience working with homeowners, property managers, insurance professionals, or restoration companies preferred Knowledge of Xactimate or other restoration estimating software is a plus Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Reliable transportation Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in physically demanding conditions Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, confined areas, and other challenging environments when required Willingness to respond to emergency water damage situations and occasional after-hours or weekend calls when necessary Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations Strong work ethic and a commitment to doing the job correctly What We're Looking For We're looking for more than someone who can operate equipment.
