3+ years of industrial maintenance, reliability, rotating equipment, or field service experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with an interest in machinery diagnostics, predictive maintenance, and vibration analysis. Experience working around rotating equipment such as turbines, generators, motors, pumps, compressors, or gearboxes. Willingness to travel extensively to industrial and power generation facilities throughout the United States.
Job Summary :
We are seeking motivated Vibration Technicians to support machinery reliability and condition monitoring projects at power generation and industrial facilities throughout North America. Working alongside experienced vibration specialists, the Vibration Technician will assist with field data collection, equipment inspections, vibration testing, and machinery diagnostics on critical rotating equipment. This contract-to-hire position offers hands-on training and a unique opportunity to build a long-term career with NAES in machinery reliability and predictive maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist vibration specialists with field testing, vibration data collection, and machinery condition assessments. Collect vibration data using portable data collectors and specialized diagnostic equipment. Perform inspections of rotating equipment including turbines, generators, motors, pumps, compressors, fans, and gearboxes. Support machinery startup, shutdown, troubleshooting, and operational testing activities. Record equipment operating data and document field observations. Assist with vibration analysis and predictive maintenance activities. Assist with preparation of technical reports and customer documentation. Maintain accurate project records and communicate project status to supervisors.
Job Requirements :
Working knowledge of rotating equipment and industrial mechanical systems. Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills. Ability to learn vibration analysis equipment and predictive maintenance technologies. Ability to work independently and as part of a field service team. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Willingness to travel extensively throughout North America. Education /
Experience :
Associate's degree in Mechanical Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience may be substituted for education. 3+ years of industrial maintenance, field service, reliability, predictive maintenance, or rotating equipment experience preferred. Experience with power generation, manufacturing, petrochemical, mining, pulp & paper, or other heavy industrial facilities is a plus. Experience using Bentley Nevada, SKF, Emerson CSI, Prüftechnik, or other vibration monitoring systems is preferred but not required.
ISO CAT I
Vibration Analyst certification is a plus.
