Med Water Systems is hiring a Field Service Technician to install, service, and support ultra-pure water systems used in hospitals and laboratories nationwide. This is a high-visibility, client-facing role where professionalism, accountability, and clear communication are just as important as technical ability. What This Role Is Really About This is not just a repair job.
You will be:
working directly in healthcare environments interacting with lab staff, technicians, and facility teams representing Med Water Systems on-site expected to communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently Success in this role requires both technical skill and professional presence. What You'll Do Travel nationwide (up to 75%) to customer sites Install, service, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system components Diagnose issues and complete repairs with minimal oversight Build and prepare systems in the shop during non-travel periods Document service work accurately in CRM systems Train customers on system operation and maintenance Participate in a rotating on-call schedule What We're Looking For Core Requirements Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently Professional communication skills in customer-facing environments Ability to stay organized and reliable while traveling Comfortable working in hospitals, labs, and technical environments Preferred Backgrounds Experience in one or more of the following: HVAC plumbing electrical automotive or diesel repair equipment service or installation construction or mechanical trades Work Style That Succeeds Here You represent the company well in front of customers You communicate clearly and respectfully, even under pressure You take ownership of problems and follow through You can adapt to changing schedules and travel demands You are comfortable working independently in new environments Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to travel frequently (air + ground travel) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet Ability to pass background check and drug screening What You'll Receive Paid, hands-on technical training Overtime pay (non-exempt role) All travel expenses covered Opportunity to earn industry certifications Consistent, meaningful work supporting healthcare environments Why This Role Is Different At Med Water Systems, our Field Service Technicians are trusted professionals—not just technicians.
