As an Intermediate Water Damage Specialist (Level 3), you will serve as the team lead for residential and small commercial losses. You'll leverage your technical expertise in IICRC standards, advanced drying equipment, and moisture mapping to restore properties—all while helping mentor junior technicians and working alongside senior team members on large-scale catastrophe (CAT) projects.

Key Responsibilities Field Leadership:
Direct small crews (up to 10 people) on residential, commercial, and industrial losses, ensuring proper use of PPE, safety compliance, and property protection.
Technical Restoration:
Perform and supervise water extraction, structural drying, debris removal, containment setup, and wall cavity drying.
Moisture Mapping & Testing:
Utilize IR cameras, HydroSensors, and moisture meters to accurately map moisture distribution, complete psychrometric logs, and set drying goals.
Project Documentation:
Take clear photographic records, complete field documentation, and track time, equipment, and consumables accurately.
Customer Service & Communication:
Maintain high standards of customer service, review daily project requirements, and keep managers and clients updated on progress.
CAT & Emergency Response:
Assist with catastrophe response operations, which may include managing temporary workers on multiple simultaneous water losses. What We're Looking For
Experience & Certifications 12+ months of experience as a Basic Water Damage Technician at BELFOR (or equivalent industry experience). Direct involvement in at least 25 water damage projects. Active
IICRC WRT
(Water Damage Restoration Technician) designation. Working knowledge of
IICRC S500
(Water Damage) and
IICRC S520
(Mold Remediation) standards. Familiarity with the BELFOR Water Damage Book (or equivalent industry best practices). Technical & Operational Skills Hands-on mastery of restoration equipment, including truck-mount extraction systems, LGR dehumidifiers, air movers, and moisture meters. Proven ability to draw property sketches, read floor plans, and run psychrometric calculations. Valid driver's license with an eligible driving record per company policy. Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills. Key Attributes Strong sense of urgency, positive attitude, and solid work ethic. Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when emergency responses arise. Physical Requirements Frequent lifting of 50+ lbs (with assistance for heavier loads). Ability to work in tight spaces, bend, kneel, and stand or walk for extended periods. Comfort using mobile devices to enter data, track time, and submit job reports.
