KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the repairs of components located on U.S. Naval vessels and repair centers Remove and replace various model pumps & valves that are attached and electric Must fabricate, assemble, and test pumps and valves per customer requirements to ensure repair work meets specifications Assist in rigging of equipment throughout the ship and maintain safety certifications for related equipment Disassemble, assemble, clean, inspect equipment using special tooling, measuring devices and visual inspection procedures Troubleshooting problems to determine root cause Install, align and op-test repaired equipment Assist in reviewing parts inventory by checking stock
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of electrical and mechanical assembly and repair work Must be able to lift 50 to 75lbs and navigate throughout a ship Prior experience using hand tools and measuring equipment Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications helpful 50% travel required U.S. citizenship required, no dual citizenship Education & Experience Valid Driver's license a must 3+ years experience in a repair environment preferably in a shipyard High school diploma or equivalent required, associates degree, vocational or technical training preferred
