About the Role As a Fire Restoration Technician, you will play a vital role in the recovery process by managing the cleanup, structural demolition, and restoration of homes and businesses impacted by water, smoke, or fire incidents. This role is highly active and hands-on, requiring you to operate within environments that have sustained damage and lack climate control. Primary Responsibilities Execute the removal and demolition of materials affected by fire or smoke, such as flooring, drywall, cabinetry, and insulation. Clear out debris and damaged items from various commercial and residential sites. Help eliminate soot, smoke residue, and lingering odors. Sanitize and scrub ceilings, walls, floors, and various household furnishings. Support the team in water extraction and moisture mitigation following firefighting operations to ensure property preservation. Utilize various power and manual tools to carry out demolition and restoration tasks. Manage the transport, loading, and unloading of necessary restoration gear and supplies. Operate specialized restoration machinery, including HEPA filters, dehumidifiers, and air movers. Ensure the job site remains organized and hazard-free to promote a secure environment. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and utilize all mandated personal protective equipment. Support the broader restoration team with repair and reconstruction efforts as necessary. Qualifications Background in restoration, demolition, construction, or general labor is highly valued. Proficiency in operating standard hand and power tools. Physical capability to handle frequent bending, lifting, climbing, standing, and carrying throughout your shift. Capacity to lift and maneuver loads between 50 and 75 lbs. Willingness to work directly with materials impacted by fire, water, or smoke. Comfortable performing duties in challenging, non-climate-controlled settings that may be dusty or dirty. Dependable attendance and consistent access to reliable transportation. Commitment to wearing required safety gear and following all established safety guidelines. We are looking for individuals who bring previous expertise in disaster cleanup, carpentry, construction, or other physically intensive labor roles.
