Omega Disaster Restoration is hiring a Water and Fire Restoration Technician with hands-on experience in property mitigation, remediation and restoration. We are specifically seeking candidates who have worked in water mitigation, structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, disaster cleanup, or emergency property restoration .
Duties:
Residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, storms, and other emergencies. Perform water extraction, structural drying, demolition, cleaning, and sanitizing Set up, monitor, reposition, and remove air movers, dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and extraction equipment. Take moisture readings and document the drying process. Remove damaged drywall, flooring, insulation, cabinetry, and other building materials. Assist with fire and smoke restoration, soot removal, odor control, and contents cleaning. Perform mold-remediation and containment-related work. Photograph and document damage, equipment placement, moisture readings, and completed work. Follow established restoration procedures, job scopes, safety requirements, and IICRC standards. Communicate professionally with customers, Project Managers, adjusters, and other restoration team members. Keep company vehicles, tools, equipment, and job sites clean and organized.
Relevant experience includes:
Water-damage restoration and mitigation Structural drying and moisture monitoring Fire and smoke damage restoration Mold remediation and containment Storm-damage cleanup Biohazard or environmental remediation Contents cleaning and pack-outs Demolition associated with property-damage claims Emergency residential or commercial restoration services IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT are strongly preferred. Requirements Previous experience in property restoration, water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, structural drying, or a closely related remediation field is strongly preferred. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to perform physical, hands-on work in active restoration environments. Ability to lift and move restoration equipment and building materials. Comfortable working in damaged residential and commercial properties. Ability to respond professionally and compassionately during property emergencies. Strong attention to safety, documentation, and customer service. Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Candidate must be willing to be on call when scheduled.
Pay:
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
