Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Water Mitigation Technician and become a vital part of restoring properties affected by water damage, fire, mold, and other disasters. In this energetic role, you will be on the front lines of disaster response, utilizing your skills in cleaning, restoration, and construction to help clients recover quickly and confidently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure that each project is handled efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities Respond promptly to water damage, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement projects, ensuring swift action to mitigate further damage. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to remove water, dry structures, and perform necessary repairs. Conduct thorough cleaning of affected areas, including carpet cleaning and surface sanitation, to restore property hygiene. Assist with construction tasks such as demolition, drywall removal, or minor repairs as needed during restoration projects. Use specialized equipment for water extraction, moisture detection, and mold remediation to ensure comprehensive cleanup. Follow safety protocols diligently while handling hazardous materials like asbestos or mold to protect yourself and others. Document project progress with detailed reports and communicate effectively with team members and clients throughout each job. Qualifications Previous experience in the restoration industry or related fields such as construction or cleaning is highly preferred. Knowledge of water damage restoration processes, fire restoration techniques, mold remediation procedures, and asbestos abatement is a strong plus. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in cleanup and repair work. Ability to work physically demanding shifts that may include lifting heavy items, climbing ladders, or working in confined spaces. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards at all times. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients effectively. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often required for on-site response calls.
