Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity seeks an experienced clinical pharmacist to support inpatient pharmacy distribution functions in a dynamic hospital environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacology with a preference for experience in chemotherapy and oncology. This role offers a contract position with potential for transition to permanent placement.
Location:
Puyallup, WA Job Type:
Contract (16 weeks +, with temp-to-hire potential)
Schedule:
Variable days and afternoons, 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders using Epic electronic health record system Conduct final product verification checks to ensure safety and accuracy Provide expert clinical drug information and answer pharmacy-related inquiries Supervise and support pharmacy technician activities within the inpatient pharmacy Participate in emergency response efforts, including Code Blue situations Utilize essential pharmacy technologies such as Epic and Pyxis systems
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Licensed Clinical Pharmacist in good standing Preferred experience in chemotherapy and oncology pharmacy practice Proficient with Epic electronic health records and Pyxis medication management systems Strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to work independently Previous experience responding to emergency codes is highly valuable This role offers meaningful clinical responsibilities within an inpatient setting, using cutting-edge pharmacy technologies.
