Reports To:
Equipment Manager and Branch Manager Do friends and family call you when something needs fixing? Do you love figuring out wiring, mechanics, and how things fit together — and do you also have an eye for keeping things organized? If so, we want you on our team! We're expanding our Tumwater crew at Evergreen Refreshments to serve businesses across the greater Puget Sound area. For over 50 years, we've built a reputation for delivering personalized breakroom solutions that keep employees happy and productive. In this hybrid role, you'll split your time between customer sites — where you'll install, swap, and pull vending machines, micro-markets, and coffee equipment — and our Tumwater facility, where you'll maintain, troubleshoot, and evaluate that equipment to keep it in top shape. It's a hands-on, fast-paced role that combines field logistics with in-house technical work. No vending experience? No problem — we provide training for the right candidate. Field & Installation Responsibilities Install, swap, and pull vending machines, micro-markets, and coffee equipment at customer locations. Travel to customer sites in a company vehicle. Work with the team to ensure proper installation and uninstallation at customer locations as guided by your manager. Use hand tools to move, position, and set up equipment on-site. Maintain company vehicle regularly. In-House Equipment Center Responsibilities Maintain and troubleshoot micro-markets, vending machines, and coffee equipment. Evaluate breakroom and refreshment equipment to determine if items are serviceable or should be disposed of. Support the loading and staging of equipment to designated areas. Stage inbound/outbound equipment as assigned by managers. Initiate labeling of equipment for tracking and identification. Establish and execute preventative maintenance schedules. Conduct monthly inventory of equipment and service parts. Maintain and order inventory replenishments as needed. Shared Responsibilities Document all work performed, including equipment condition assessments. Collaborate with managers and field technicians to coordinate equipment movement schedules. Maintain professional standards and appearance both in house and in the field. Provide customer and sales team training on proper operation and maintenance of beverage and vending equipment. Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
What You Need:
Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude. Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills. Excellent time management skills; ability to establish an effective, self-motivated routine. Comfort working with basic hand tools. Attention to detail and care for organization. Ability to provide consistent, professional service to customers. Willingness to learn about new types of equipment. Knowledge of beverage brewing systems is a plus but not required. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and maneuver equipment between 25-75 lb, including lifting, turning, and twisting motions. Valid driver's license (for customer site travel).
