Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Security & Surveillance Installation & Service Technician to join our Southern Wisconsin team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing a wide range of security and surveillance systems. You will work closely with clients to ensure installations meet both technical standards and customer expectations while representing Hunter Security with the highest level of professionalism. Key Responsibilities Install, dismantle, service, and test security, CCTV, fire detection, and card access systems. Interpret and work from electrical drawings, technical bulletins, and building plans. Log and maintain accurate records of service labor, mileage, and work performed. Monitor and respond to service tickets using PC or laptop. Communicate effectively with customers and company leadership, including participation in project calls when needed. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installations. Train customers on system operation and provide ongoing support as needed. Conduct system maintenance and inspections. Travel throughout Southern Wisconsin as required (per diem provided for overnight stays). Qualifications Associate degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent work experience. 1-2 years of experience in security, surveillance, or low-voltage installation preferred. Knowledge of networking and IP video systems is a plus (training available). Strong initiative, integrity, and attention to detail. Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent client relationships. Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively (75% travel required).
