Field Service Technician Position Summary The Field Service Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing_ hydraulic systems _ and components at customer locations and in-house. This hands-on role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel to customer sites. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer locations to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and equipment. Install, set up, test, and maintain hydraulic pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and motors. Build and install hydraulic hoses according to system specifications. Perform preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime. Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, assembly drawings, work orders, and technical manuals. Perform mechanical repairs using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and diagnostic tools. Perform minor electrical wiring and work with related pneumatic and electrical systems. Accurately document repairs, maintenance, parts used, and service activities. Manage service schedules, tools, spare parts, and equipment while traveling. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company, customer, and OSHA safety requirements. Qualifications High school diploma/GED and 3-5 years of related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting. Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand and power tools. Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical documentation. Basic welding and metal fabrication skills preferred. Familiarity with electrical controls and pneumatic systems. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills, including ERP systems and Microsoft Outlook. Ability to travel frequently to customer locations. Fluid Power certification preferred or willingness to obtain. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to successfully complete a DOT non-CDL physical.

Pay:

$38.00 - $45.00 per hour
