Position:
Western America Holiday Lighting is hiring dependable, hardworking installers for our 2026 Christmas lighting season. Our team installs professional holiday lighting & decor for commercial properties, HOA's, shopping centers, municipalities, and other large-scale clients throughout Southern California. This is a hands-on outdoor position involving ladders, ariel lifts, lighting, greenery, and commercial holiday displays. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at heights, takes pride in prodcing clean work, and can maintain a positive attitude during long, physically demanding days. Previous Christmas Light experience is not required. We will train candidates who are dependable, safety-concious, and willing to learn.
Responsibilities:
Install commercial Christmas lights, garland, wreaths, bows, ornaments, and other holiday decor. Work safely from ladders, rooftops, bucket trucks, and lifts. Load, unload, organize, and transport lighting equipment and decor. Follow installation plans and crew leader instructions. Secure cords and decorations neatly and safely. Maintain clean and organized vehicles, equipment, and job sites. Assist with service calls and removal of decorations when required. Work efficiently as part of a crew while maintaing professional standards.
Qualifications:
At least 18 years old. Dependable transportation to and from our Murrieta warehouse. Comfortable working outdoors and at heights. Able to repeatedly lift and carry 50 pounds. Able to climb ladders, kneel, bend, and remain active throughout the work day. Available for early mornings, long shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends. Able to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team. Professional appearance and respectful conduct around clients and the public. Valid drivers license and clean driving record are strongly preferred. Construction, landscaping, roofing, electrical, warehouse, lift-operation, or christmas lighting experience is helpful but not required.
Schedule:
This is a seasonal position beginning at the start of October and generally continuing through December. Additional work may be available during the January take down season. Hours vary based on the installation schedule. Employees should expect full-time hours, overtime, early starts, and the opportunity for occasional night or weekend work. Compensation $20-$26 per hour, depending on relevant experience and qualifications. Overtime paid in accordance with California law.
