Our independently owned hotel is seeking a Hotel Handyperson who aligns with our vision of creating a Culture of Service Excellence. We pride ourselves on delivering genuine hospitality supported by well-maintained facilities for every guest, every time.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across the property Troubleshoot and resolve issues with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems Complete all assigned work orders thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner Accurately document all maintenance activities and completed work orders, ensuring consistent communication so all departments remain informed and on the same page Respond to guest and staff maintenance requests with efficiency and professionalism Maintain a safe and clean work environment while following all safety protocols Proactively spot issues and take initiative to resolve them before they become larger problems Use sound judgment to solve problems independently while upholding hotel standards
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience in hotel, apartment, or commercial building maintenance (minimum 2 years preferred) Strong problem-solving and hands-on repair skills across multiple trades A proactive thinker with a calm, solution-focused approach to challenges Someone who takes pride in their work and consistently shows up ready to deliver quality results Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping for accurate documentation Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment as needed Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed Why Join Us?
