Busy Elves Lighting is building our Christmas installation team, and we're looking for dependable, hardworking people who are comfortable on ladders and residential roofs. Christmas light installation experience is a big plus, but it is not required. We will train the right people. If you've worked in roofing, gutters, siding, construction, landscaping, window cleaning, electrical, low-voltage, solar, or another hands-on trade, you may already have many of the skills we're looking for. If you've professionally installed Christmas lights before, we definitely want to hear from you. What You'll Do You'll work as part of a two-person installation crew transforming homes throughout St. Louis and St. Charles County for the holidays. You'll help with: Installing professional Christmas lights on rooflines Installing wreaths, garland, tree and landscape lighting Setting and working from extension ladders Working on residential roofs, including first and second-story installations Running and concealing power cords for a clean finished installation Keeping installations straight, clean and professional Taking care of our customers' homes and property Removing lighting after the holiday season Who We're Looking For You should be: Comfortable working from extension ladders and on residential roofs Good with your hands and able to learn quickly Comfortable working outdoors in November and December weather Dependable and ready to work during our busy season Able to work efficiently as part of a two-person crew Detail-oriented and take pride in how the finished job looks Professional around customers and their homes Previous Christmas-light installation experience is preferred, but we can teach our installation process to someone with the right hands-on ability, work ethic and comfort working at heights. The Season We're hiring right now and expect training and installation work to begin soon. Our busiest installation period runs through November and into December, followed by additional work taking lights down after the holidays. This can be a great seasonal opportunity for someone whose regular trade slows down during the winter, someone looking to make additional money before the holidays, or an experienced Christmas-light installer looking for a strong season.
