Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. Your expertise will help create a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all occupants. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the overall efficiency of our facilities. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance. Conduct repairs using hand tools and power tools, including welding and carpentry tasks, to address maintenance issues promptly. Troubleshoot electrical problems using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; repair or replace electrical equipment as needed. Maintain facilities equipment by performing repairs on HVAC systems, plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical components. Assist with maintenance painting projects to uphold the aesthetic quality of interior spaces. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory of parts and supplies. Skills Proficiency in electrical work including troubleshooting and using tools such as ohmmeters. Skilled in plumbing system maintenance and repair, including pipe fitting and fixture replacement. Experience with HVAC system repair, troubleshooting thermostats, compressors, fans, and ductwork. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and carpentry tools effectively. Knowledge of building interior maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and general carpentry. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and occupants regarding maintenance issues. Fluency in English; ability to read clearly. Experience working in manufacturing or residential settings is preferred; familiarity with safety standards is essential.
