1099 Handyman & Painter Subcontractors — Steady Year-Round Work Fox & Fern Property Services is looking to build a dependable, long-term team of experienced handyman, painting, repair, and property maintenance subcontractors. We service a mix of approximately 50% commercial and 50% residential properties throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. Our work includes property managers, commercial facilities, rental properties, homeowners, turnovers, repairs, painting, flooring, drywall, maintenance, and general property improvements. This is not a temporary position or occasional overflow opportunity. We are looking for professional solo contractors and established crews who want a long-term working relationship with a growing property services company. We stay busy throughout the year and want to build an all-star subcontractor network that we can consistently send quality work to. What We're Looking For Ideal candidates have experience with several of the following: Interior and exterior painting Drywall installation and repair Spackling, finishing, and texture repair Trim and finish carpentry Doors and hardware Flooring installation and repairs General handyman repairs Property maintenance Apartment and rental turnovers Light demolition Cabinet and millwork repairs Caulking and weatherproofing Punch-list work Commercial maintenance and repair work You do not need to specialize in every trade. Specialists, multi-trade technicians, solo contractors, and established crews are encouraged to apply.

Requirements Applicants must:

Operate as an independent contractor/business Provide a completed W-9 Carry active general liability insurance Carry any additional insurance required for the work being performed Have a reliable truck, van, or appropriate work vehicle Own the tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work Have a valid driver's license Have reliable transportation Have a smartphone and be able to communicate consistently Maintain a professional appearance on customer properties Be comfortable wearing Fox & Fern branded workwear while completing Fox & Fern projects Maintain a clean and organized work area Protect customers' homes and commercial properties during work Be dependable with scheduling and arrival times Communicate immediately if job conditions, scope, materials, or scheduling change Provide professional-quality workmanship Be able to complete work independently without constant supervision Background checks may be required for certain residential, commercial, property-management, or facility accounts.
