Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and versatile Hotel Handy Man to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of our hotel facilities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure our guests experience a welcoming and well-maintained environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation of a busy hotel while showcasing your skills in custodial work, floor care, and general maintenance. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, and public areas to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hospitality. Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces across all hotel spaces. Carry out repairs and maintenance tasks on plumbing, electrical systems, furniture, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency. Assist with janitorial responsibilities by managing waste disposal, replenishing supplies, and ensuring all areas are tidy and inviting. Support housekeeping management by coordinating cleaning schedules, inspecting work quality, and addressing guest requests promptly. Maintain safety protocols by inspecting equipment, reporting hazards, and ensuring compliance with health standards. Collaborate with team members to execute special projects or deep cleaning initiatives as needed for hotel upkeep. Experience Proven experience in custodial work or janitorial services within a hospitality or industrial setting is highly preferred. Previous hotel experience or background in hospitality enhances understanding of guest-focused service standards. Familiarity with floor care techniques such as carpet extraction, buffing, and polishing is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform general maintenance repairs with attention to safety procedures. Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple cleaning or maintenance tasks efficiently. Knowledge of custodial equipment operation and basic troubleshooting skills are advantageous. Experience in housekeeping management or supervising cleaning staff is a plus but not required.
