Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a proactive and versatile Maintenance Handyman to join our facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of building systems and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to tackle diverse maintenance tasks. Whether working on plumbing, electrical systems, or carpentry projects, you'll play a key role in keeping our facilities running smoothly and efficiently. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical systems. Conduct plumbing system maintenance including repairs to pipes, fixtures, and drainage systems. Handle HVAC system repairs such as filter replacements, ductwork adjustments, and troubleshooting temperature control issues. Use hand tools and power tools for carpentry tasks like maintenance painting, building interior repairs, or furniture fixes. Assist with welding projects when needed to repair metal components or structures. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities equipment maintenance. Electrical experience including wiring, schematics reading, and electrical equipment repair. Familiarity with plumbing systems and plumbing repair techniques. Experience working with HVAC systems and performing HVAC repairs. Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently; welding skills are a plus. Knowledge of maintenance painting and building interior upkeep. Effective communication skills in English for clear reporting and teamwork; supervisory experience is advantageous. Customer service mindset with the ability to collaborate well with colleagues across departments.
