W-2 Employee Overview Ace Handyman Services North Seattle is hiring an experienced Craftsman to join our growing team. This role is for someone who loves the craft, takes pride in doing high-quality work, and wants to spend their day solving problems and completing jobs — without having to chase customers, sell every job, manage marketing, handle billing, or run the administrative side of a business. We provide the customers, scheduling, systems, office support, and local pipeline. You bring the skill, professionalism, customer communication, and ownership needed to run jobs well from start to finish. This is a strong fit for a broad-skill craftsman who enjoys steady, varied residential work, including repairs, carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, cabinet work, and light remodeling. We are heading into a fall painting and cabinet push, with bathroom remodel work likely as well. Schedule This is intended to be a full-time role with a consistent Monday-Friday schedule. Hours and job assignments are based on skill fit, reliability, customer service, job performance, and business needs. There are no weekends and no on-call requirements. Responsibilities Independently manage small-to-medium residential jobs from start to finish Perform high-quality work across carpentry, drywall, painting, tile, and general residential repairs Evaluate jobs on-site, troubleshoot issues, and recommend practical solutions Communicate clearly and professionally with customers about scope, timing, materials, and any concerns Call customers the night before each job to confirm details and make sure you are prepared Use a tablet for scheduling, job notes, photos, and reporting Keep job sites clean, safe, organized, and professional Work efficiently while maintaining quality and customer trust Represent Ace Handyman Services with professionalism, craftsmanship, and strong customer service Take ownership of each job while having office and administrative support behind you Requirements Legally authorized to work in the United States Valid driver's license Reliable, registered, and insured work vehicle capable of carrying tools and materials Full set of standard tools for residential handyman and craftsman work 7+ years of hands-on experience in residential repair, remodeling, construction, or related trades Ability to run jobs independently with minimal supervision Strong skills in at least five residential trade areas, including carpentry, drywall, painting, and tile Comfortable using tablets and basic digital job tools Professional appearance and customer-friendly communication Dependable, organized, and able to follow each job through to completion Takes pride in quality work, clean job sites, and a great customer experience Nice to Have Cabinet installation, cabinet repair, or cabinet refacing experience Bathroom remodel experience Finish carpentry or custom cabinetry background Door, trim, hardware, and punch-list experience Smart home device installation experience Minor plumbing or basic electrical repair experience, within legal limits Growth & Evaluation This role includes an initial evaluation period focused on craftsmanship, reliability, customer communication, ability to work independently, job documentation, efficiency, and overall customer experience. We are looking for a long-term team member who can be trusted to run jobs professionally without needing to be chased, while still communicating clearly with the office and customers.
