Anchorage, AK Job Details Full-time From $22 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Parts administration Welders (tool) Driver's License Attention to detail Machine minor repairs Mechanical knowledge Full Job Description Overview We're looking for a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Shop Hand / Equipment Maintenance Assistant to help keep our shop, equipment, and operations running smoothly throughout the snow season. Position is Monday-Friday 11am-7pm This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, staying busy, and being part of a team. You'll work closely with our operators, lead mechanic, and supervisors to help keep equipment maintained, organized, and ready to go when it's needed. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and isn't afraid to jump in and help wherever needed. What You'll Do Keep track of shop inventory, parts, supplies, and equipment Perform basic equipment maintenance and light mechanical work Assist with routine equipment inspections Identify and communicate equipment issues to the lead mechanic or supervisor Help prepare and maintain equipment for snow removal operations Keep tools, parts, and supplies organized and easy to find Track parts and materials that need to be ordered Help keep the shop clean, safe, and organized Assist with general shop duties and projects Pitch in and help the team with other tasks as needed What We're Looking For Valid driver's license and reliable transportation At least one year of mechanical experience and/or experience working around heavy equipment Basic understanding of equipment maintenance and mechanical systems Ability to recognize basic equipment problems and communicate when additional repairs are needed Organized, dependable, and self-motivated Strong attention to detail Able to accurately track inventory, parts, and supplies Comfortable working independently and taking direction Willing to learn and take on new tasks Willing to pitch in and help wherever needed Welding experience is a plus About the Position We're looking for someone who is self-motivated, dependable, and takes pride in keeping things in good working order. During the snow season, keeping equipment ready and the shop organized is an important part of keeping our operations moving. You don't have to know everything. We're looking for someone with a good mechanical foundation, a strong work ethic, and the willingness to learn and help the team.

Snow days are not days off for our team—they are the days we need everyone to be present and ready to help keep our operations running smoothly. We're looking for someone who understands the importance of reliable attendance during snow events and is willing to be here when our team needs them most. If you're dependable, responsible, and willing to pitch in when things get busy, you'll be a great fit for our team.
