Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Field Technician to become a part of our team. This position involves traveling to various mining sites and rural areas throughout Alaska—including Kensington Mine, Green's Creek Mine, Manh Choh Mine, and Prudhoe Bay—to service and repair Sandvik Rock Drills and Mobile Crushing Equipment. The role necessitates the ability to work independently under challenging conditions that may include cold, wind, rain, and snow.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel extensively to remote locations in Alaska Conduct maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on Sandvik Rock Drills and Mobile Crushing Equipment Ensure optimal performance of equipment to reduce downtime Comply with safety standards while operating in harsh environments
Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience as a Field Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic Proficiency with Sandvik Rock Drills and Mobile Crushing Equipment Capability to work independently in remote and demanding conditions Readiness to travel extensively Preference for candidates based in Juneau or Anchorage, AK; those with convenient airport access in the lower 48 states will also be considered
Requirements Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Field Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic Expertise with Sandvik Rock Drills and Mobile Crushing Equipment Ability to work independently in remote and challenging conditions Willingness to travel extensively Based in Juneau or Anchorage, AK preferred; candidates with easy airport access in the lower 48 states considered Benefits Competitive hourly wage between $40-50 per hour plenty of OT Accommodations and meals provided during travel Opportunity to work in a dynamic and unique environment M,D,V 401k PTO
