THIS IS NOT A FORKLIFT OPERATOR POSITION.
The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for servicing and repair of equipment, working both independently and on a team. Examples of the type of machinery to be serviced are internal combustion and diesel lift trucks. The Technician will demonstrate initiative, commitment to teamwork, and dedication to finding solutions in an efficient manner. Essential Responsibilities & Expectations Plan and performs minor repairs using correct tools and procedures Ability to perform the following tasks on basic components in work area including engine, hydraulic, and electrical components: remove and install; disassemble and reassemble; perform minor adjustments Ability to perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance according to factory guidelines Diagnose and repair mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and diagnostic equipment Work in field service as required Work independently in the field as required. Maintain detailed service records Other duties as assigned. Required Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or a forklift technician. Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving history Must be able to pass a drug screen Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs Ability to repeatedly stand, squat, bend, stoop, twist, climb, reach, walk and kneel Ability to work in confined spaces Must provide your own tools Mobile Lumber is an equal opportunity employer.
