Job Description

MPS Group, Inc ., is seeking a Teardown Mechanic to join our team at the Mercedes Benz US International facility located in Vance, AL . This individual is responsible for removing parts from automobiles in accordance with designated inventory requirements with the specific goal of maintaining saleable quality on all parts. This individual should have solid knowledge of automobiles.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:
Conduct dismantling and staging of vehicles and components. Store materials according to approved floor plans and safety requirements. Track each dismantled vehicle using a serialized or tagged system to ensure audit readiness. Label each part with the stock number assigned to the vehicle. Identify core vehicle parts and place them in designated storage areas. Perform general housekeeping duties within assigned work areas. Manage waste and byproducts in compliance with all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of mechanic experience. High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to identify major and standard vehicle parts and components. Must have mechanical aptitude. Must interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to pass a background check. Ability to pass a drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid OSHA 10-Hour General Industry/Construction.
RCRA/DOT
Certification
