Full-Time EOS Trucking is seeking a dependable and resourceful Over-the-Road Breakdown Coordinator to join our team at our North Little Rock location. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for assisting drivers when trucks or trailers break down while over the road and coordinating the repairs needed to get the equipment back in service as quickly and safely as possible. The ideal candidate is someone who communicates well, stays calm under pressure, and is comfortable making phone calls, working with repair facilities, and following an issue through from the initial breakdown until the truck is back on the road. Key Responsibilities Receive and respond to calls from drivers experiencing truck or trailer breakdowns over the road. Gather accurate information from the driver regarding the equipment issue, location, and urgency of the repair. Locate qualified repair shops, mobile mechanics, tire vendors, towing companies, and other service providers near the disabled equipment. Contact repair facilities and vendors to arrange service. Coordinate towing when equipment cannot be repaired roadside. Provide repair facilities with the information needed to diagnose and repair the equipment. Communicate with drivers throughout the repair process and keep them informed of the status. Follow up with repair facilities to obtain repair estimates, diagnoses, expected completion times, and updates. Help determine the most efficient repair option while considering cost, downtime, location, and operational needs. Obtain appropriate repair approvals before work is completed when required. Maintain detailed documentation of breakdowns, repairs, vendor communication, and associated costs. Track trucks that are out of service and follow each repair through completion. Communicate significant delays, major repairs, and equipment concerns to Operations and Maintenance management. Coordinate with dispatch when a breakdown may affect a driver's load, pickup, or delivery schedule. Assist with identifying recurring equipment issues and communicating those concerns to the Maintenance Department. Build and maintain professional relationships with repair shops and service vendors throughout the country. Review invoices and repair documentation for accuracy when necessary. What We're Looking For Previous experience in trucking, transportation, fleet maintenance, roadside repair coordination, or dispatch is strongly preferred. General knowledge of tractors, trailers, tires, and common commercial truck repairs is preferred. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Excellent telephone and communication skills. Comfortable speaking directly with professional drivers, mechanics, repair shops, towing companies, and vendors. Ability to handle multiple breakdowns and priorities at the same time. Ability to remain calm and organized when dealing with urgent or stressful situations. Strong attention to detail and follow-through. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to accurately document conversations, repair information, costs, and equipment status. Dependable, professional, and able to take ownership of problems until they are resolved. Must be able to work on-site at our North Little Rock, Arkansas office.
