You should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a background in heavy construction equipment or rental required. Advanced experience with major & minor repairs of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and diesel and gas engines on construction equipment and delivery fleet. Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, DEF, and EGR aftertreatment systems is highly preferred. Extensive experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing heavy equipment repairs. Must have the necessary tools you need to perform the scope of equipment repairs. Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications. Advanced understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods. Diesel laptop experience is required. Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and efficient time management techniques Successfully manage multiple priorities concurrently, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs. Perform minor and major repairs on gas and diesel engines, complex hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and drivetrains to include manual and power shift transmissions on equipment and trucks Troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW) Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating Prepare/maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
