Joe Dirt Excavating is searching for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to work in our busy shop. We have been in business for 25+ years and provide construction services across Arizona.

Responsibilities:

Inspecting heavy equipment for proper performance and detecting faults and malfunctions. Dismantling faulty equipment parts and installing new or fixed parts. Cleaning and lubricating equipment. Performing other routine maintenance work on machinery. Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts. Repairing damaged equipment parts. Troubleshooting equipment problems. Providing technical advice to other employees.

Requirements:

Field experience Understanding of computer testing technologies Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Ability to lift heavy machinery Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment Ability to work after-hours if required Good communication skills to work with other mechanics & employees Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a class A or B CDL On-the-job training will be provided, tools will be provided.
