ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY
Gambi 360 is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Operator to support daily operations at our Mohave County landfill sites. This position is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing landfill heavy equipment used in earthmoving, cell construction, daily cover operations, and waste compaction.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain landfill equipment including compactors, dozers, excavators, scrapers, water trucks, loaders, and support equipment.
- Perform engine, drivetrain, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostics
- Troubleshoot Tier-4 emissions systems a plus
- Conduct preventative maintenance at required intervals.
- Perform welding and fabrication work as needed. Operational Support
- Respond to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Ensure safe and uninterrupted compaction and landfill operations.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Work with operators and site staff to understand issues. Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Follow all landfill safety protocols including Lock-out/Tag-out, hot work, and working safely near the active face.
- Maintain clean and safe workspaces.
- Support Gambi 360's commitment to safety and compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS
Required- 2+ years' experience working on heavy yellow iron or landfill/civil construction equipment.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, cooling systems, and Tier-4 engines. A Plus
- Ability to troubleshoot using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to work in desert landfill conditions.
- Valid driver's license. Preferred
- Experience with landfill compactors such as Cat 836/826.
- Welding, torching, and fabrication skills.
- Previous landfill or earthmoving experience.
- CDL or ability to obtain one. Skills & Attributes

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Safety-first mindset.
- Professional communication with operators and management.
- High urgency regarding landfill equipment downtime. Work Environment
- Outdoor landfill environment (heat, wind, dust).
- Shop and field-based repairs.
- Occasional after-hours or on-call response may be required.
