Engine Teardown Mechanic Setnix, a Setna iO company, is a a FAA- and EASA-certified repair station delivering high-quality maintenance, repair, and overhaul solutions for the aviation and aerospace industry. Based in Tempe, Arizona, Setnix specializes in APU and main engine teardown, inspection, testing, repair, overhaul, and certification of high demand rotables and aircraft components. With transparent communication, real-time repair tracking, advanced testing, and strong machining capabilities, Setnix supports customers worldwide while continuing to expand its product lines, engine services, and operational footprint. The Impact You'll Make As an Engine Teardown Mechanic, you'll play a critical role in the engine overhaul process by ensuring aircraft engines and components are safely and accurately disassembled, inspected, and prepared for repair. Your attention to detail and mechanical expertise will help identify reusable parts, maintain the highest quality and safety standards, and keep maintenance operations running efficiently. By supporting on-time turnaround and delivering reliable work, you'll help ensure aircraft return to service safely and customers receive the dependable performance they expect. What You'll Do Perform full teardown and disassembly of CFM56 engines, modules, auxiliary power units (APUs), and related aircraft components in accordance with maintenance manuals and work instructions. Inspect, identify, tag, and process components for repair, overhaul, or scrap based on their condition. Accurately track components through internal systems by building manifests, bills of materials (BOMs), processing removal tags, and identifying parts using OEM manuals. Safely use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, lifting equipment, and overhead cranes (when applicable). Handle high-value aircraft components with care while following all safety and quality procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with
