Overview Transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers, inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform operator preventative maintenance and planning routes and meeting delivery schedules

Responsibilities:

Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Input "macros" into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Comply with all DOT and in-house regulations and rules Duties Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other farm machinery to move livestock, feed, supplies, and equipment around the yard. Assist with animal husbandry tasks including feeding, watering, grooming, and basic health checks for livestock and horses. Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and basic mechanical knowledge. Support the loading and unloading of animals and materials, ensuring proper handling techniques to To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must successfully demonstrate proficiency through written and/or hand on demonstration of the following: Proven work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid commercial truck driving license CDL (Class A)

Pay:

$29.00 - $35.00 per hour
