Under general supervision, performs skilled repair, adjustment, tune-up, overhaul and maintenance on both gasoline and diesel heavy equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. High school equivalency, and two years as a Mechanic II or five years of progressively skilled experience in repair, adjustment, tune-up, overhaul and maintenance on both gasoline and diesel heavy equipment. A valid Class "A" driver's license issued by the State of California, Department of Motor Vehicles is required or ability to obtain within seven months from date of hire.
