This classification is subject to the Post and Bid Process. Applications from a certification list, transfer change in class, reinstatement, re-employment, and training and development assignment candidates will be accepted for this position but consistent with the MOU/Bargaining Agreement BU12/13 contract cannot be acted upon unless the Post & Bid process does not result in a hire. The reporting location for this position is the Oceano Dunes Auto Shop located at 900 Pacific Blvd, Oceano, CA 93445. This position will work under the direction of the Park Maintenance Supervisor. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will work collaboratively alongside another full-time Heavy Equipment Mechanic to manage, construct, repair and maintain automotive and heavy maintenance and construction equipment of approximately 135 fleet for the District. Oceano Dunes District is a high use park, which attracts over 2.2 million visitors annually and due to the nature of the park use, there is an exceptionally high need for automotive maintenance operations oversight. This position is expected to consult and collaborate with all District programs/disciplines as it relates to vehicle repairs and maintenance. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00AM

•3:30PM (subject to change based on operational need).
