A respected construction company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic/Welder to join their team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and fabricating metal components for various heavy equipment, including construction machinery, trucks, and industrial vehicles.

Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, and drivetrains Weld and fabricate components as needed to repair or modify equipment Operate a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals Follow all safety procedures and company policies Perform preventative maintenance and routine servicing on diesel semi-trucks, company vehicles, and heavy equipment. Repair and maintain crushers, loaders, excavators, skid steers, and other construction equipment. Perform emergency field repairs when equipment breaks down on job sites. Complete inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records. Ensure all equipment meets safety and DOT requirements. Keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Work with the operations team to minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience repairing heavy equipment and diesel engines At least 2 years of welding and fabrication experience Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Must have a valid driver's license CDL is a plus Experience with preventative maintenance programs Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable, dependable, safety-focused, and MSHA trained is a plus Must have your own tools
