- Job Description
- As a Field Service Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy construction equipment both in the field and in the shop. You will service a wide range of machinery including excavators, bulldozers, front-end loaders, graders, rollers, and trucks, ensuring safe and reliable operation across active construction sites.
- Responsibilities
- + Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy construction equipment in the field and shop.
+ Service machinery including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, rollers, and trucks. + Complete oil changes, lubrication, hydraulic hose repairs, and replacement of wear components. + Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues. + Inspect equipment to ensure safety, performance, and reliability. + Maintain accurate service records and communicate repairs with site personnel. + Operate tools and equipment safely while adhering to all company and job site safety standards. + Work independently to prioritize tasks and minimize equipment downtime.
- Skills/Qualifications
- + 1+ year of experience servicing heavy equipment, automotive, agricultural, or similar machinery.
+ Strong mechanical skills, including diesel engines, brakes, and troubleshooting. + Experience with preventive maintenance and use of hand/power tools. + Basic knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems. + Ability to work independently in a field service environment. + Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card. + Strong communication skills and commitment to safety. + High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred.

- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
