Job Description
Job Overview We a state licensed mechanical contractor are seeking a dynamic and skilled Air Compressor Technician to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of air compressor systems and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of compressed air systems across our facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for equipment repair and a desire to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment. Duties Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with air compressors, including electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic components Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on various compressor models and associated equipment Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to accurately identify problems and implement solutions Utilize hand tools, power tools, to complete repairs efficiently Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and maintenance logs to ensure compliance and traceability Collaborate with team members to optimize system performance and ensure safety standards are met at all times Requirements Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic specializing in industrial or automotive equipment repair Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience to troubleshoot complex systems effectively Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for compressor systems and diesel engines Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and other maintenance tools Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices as they relate to heavy equipment or mobile compressors Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or installations Strong problem-solving skills coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
