Overview Join our dynamic team as a Golf Course Mechanic, where you will be the driving force behind maintaining and repairing our fleet of golf course equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, including diesel engines, electrical systems, and heavy equipment, all while supporting the smooth operation of our premier golf course. Your expertise will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional experience for our members and guests by keeping our grounds equipment in top condition. Duties Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on golf course maintenance equipment, including mowers, utility vehicles, and power tools Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and small engine repairs to maximize equipment lifespan Repair and service diesel engines, power generation systems, and heavy machinery like tractors and loaders Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently Maintain detailed service records for all repairs and maintenance activities Assist in the safe manual handling and lifting of heavy equipment parts during repair processes Requirements Proven dealership experience or service technician background with a focus on automotive or heavy machinery repair Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting Familiarity with schematics, electrical systems, diesel engine repair, and mechanical systems repair Experience working with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is highly desirable Ability to operate power tools safely and perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and support staff Knowledge of small engine maintenance, generator repair, and power generation systems is a plus Valid technical certifications or training related to automotive or equipment repair preferred We're passionate about empowering our team members to excel in their roles by providing a supportive environment that values expertise and initiative.
