MUST HAVE FORKLIFT MECHANIC EXPERIENCE SALARY

DOE Job Duties:

Perform Maintenance and Repairs :

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on new and used forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, swing reaches, side loaders, sweepers, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Diagnose Issues :

Identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in forklifts and determine the best course of action for repairs.

Service Documentation :

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.

Customer Interaction :

Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide updates on the status of their equipment.

Field Service :

Travel to various locations within the Central Florida area to perform on-site repairs and maintenance.

Safety Compliance :

Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Parts Management :

Order and manage inventory of parts and tools necessary for repairs and maintenance.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED •

Valid Driver's License :

Must have a valid Florida driver's license and a good driving record. •

Experience :

Minimum of 5 years of mechanical experience; 5 years of material handling experience preferred. •

Tools :

Must have own tools. •

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in forklifts. •

Communication Skills :

Strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. •

Independence and Teamwork :

Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player. •

Travel :

Willingness to travel within the Central Florida area for on-site repairs and maintenance. •

Commitment to following all safety regulations and company policies.

A service van is provided for your use. •

Hourly Pay :

$23 to $40 per hour, depending on experience. •
