Provides maintenance and repair to JAXPORT support vehicles and specialized industrial/construction vehicles, cargo handling equipment, and assists in the repair of the cranes. Operates all support vehicles and specialized equipment, troubleshoots and repairs all vehicle systems equipment systems (i.e., electrical, hydraulic and mechanical) and performs other maintenance operations, including marine engines and equipment. Performs scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all JAXPORT mobile and crane support equipment and facilities maintenance equipment. Keeps maintenance records on all support equipment. Uses computer based maintenance programs to initiate and track work orders, as well as, communicates between departments. Pre-checks, maintains, and performs periodic maintenance checks on fixed support equipment such as emergency generators, air compressor, parts washer, fuel dispensers, and related fueling equipment. Uses computerized diagnostic and testing equipment. Maintains basic operator proficiency on all maintenance equipment and support vehicles. Researches and prices parts from vendors as needed for maintenance and repair of equipment, periodically picking up parts and verifying part specifications.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High school diploma or equivalentExperience:
Minimum of three years' experience in mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems required. At JAXPORT's discretion, formal education in above fields may be substituted for experience.License/Certifications :
ASE certification preferred.Knowledge:
Garage procedures and ability to maintain accurate and legible records. Knowledge of welding and auto repair required.Skills Required:
Proficiency on computer preferred.Travel:

Valid driver license is required and must be maintained during employment. Class A Florida CDL with Hazmat endorsement is requirement of position within the first 3-6 months and license must be maintained during employment. This position is designated as safety sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) during employment.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constantly remain in a stationary position. Constantly move, traverse inside office or on JAXPORT property to accomplish job duties. Constantly operate, use or handle equipment, tools, computers and other office machinery. Occasionally ascend, descend, work atop, traverse on ladders, equipment and buildings to perform maintenance and safety functions. Heights up to 200 feet. Constantly position self to move, to maintain or repair equipment on terminal or in office. Constantly detect, determine, identify, recognize, observe, inspect to read and use computers. Constantly detect, converse with, convey, exchange information with others via radio, telephone. Ability to listen to equipment to troubleshoot Continuously move, transport and position, material up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.WORKING CONDITIONS
