Job Description

MJC Land Development is actively looking for Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic. We are based in West Palm Beach, FL. MJC is a family owned and operated business that self performs clearing & grubbing, excavation, underground utilities and roadwork. RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
IN THE FIELD.
Repairs and overhauls variety of equipment including light and heavy-duty trucks, graders, rollers, dozers and related equipment. Performs preventive maintenance and inspections to determine need for repairs Performs more difficult and complex maintenance and repair tasks such as replacement of engines, transmission and differential gears; replaces motor repairs Disassembles units, repairs or replaces parts, and reassembles units in the cooling, drive, brake, electrical, steering, heating, and air conditioning, hydraulic and air systems. Perform engine repairs, rebuilds and components R&R. Field work, as needed
REQUIREMENTS
Considerable experience (5 years) in the heavy and mechanical equipment repair, with emphasis on diesel powered and complex heavy-duty equipment with hydraulics. Knowledge of parts and equipment is a must. All successful mechanics should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent GED. Valid driver's license with a fairly clean driving record CDL is preferred but not required •Compensation is based on
