In this role, you will be responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling small to mid sized equipment engines and components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that machinery such as forklifts and industrial equipment are evaluated and rebuilt to the highest standard. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of different engines utilizing your mechanical knowledge and skills to deliver top-quality rebuilds and repairs. You will be working with LPG, diesel and gasoline engines from two to 6 cylinders. Head work and most machine work is subcontracted for the time being. The ideal candidate is energetic, very detail-oriented, and passionate about learning and maintaining the highest standards in engine rebuilding. Duties Disassemble engines and heavy equipment components using hand tools and power tools. Inspect engine parts for wear, damage, or defects using precision measuring and diagnostic tools Repair or replace damaged parts and coordinate the subcontracted components inbound and outbound Reassemble engines following manufacturer specifications ensuring proper alignment and clearances. Conduct diagnostics on engines in industrial equipment to identify issues Perform maintenance tasks including valve adjustments, setting ignition/injection timing accurately, etc.. Use leak down tests and compression tests to evaluate pre and post rebuilds. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed and parts used in compliance with safety standards Qualifications Proven experience working as an engine technician or heavy equipment mechanic with dealership experience preferred Able to measure and read precision measuring equipment up to .0001". Strong mechanical knowledge Proficient in reading manuals and technical bulletins related to engine rebuilds Experience operating forklifts is preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling large engine components or equipment parts Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members Pass our skills evaluation test with a grade of 80% or better.
