Role Overview We are seeking a practical, hands-on Hydraulics Technician to join the technical team at the SailGP Training Facility in Pensacola, Florida. The Hydraulics Technician will be responsible for supporting the inspection, maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, and repair of the F50's hydraulic systems and associated equipment. While previous hydraulic experience is desirable, we are equally interested in candidates with a strong mechanical background, good problem-solving skills, and the ability and willingness to learn. Training and support will be provided to develop the successful candidate's knowledge of the F50 and its specific hydraulic systems. Working within a high-performance sailing environment, this role will work closely with the wider technical team and engineers to ensure hydraulic systems are maintained to a high standard and the boat is safe, reliable, and ready for training operations. Key Responsibilities Maintain, service, inspect, and repair the F50's hydraulic systems and components. Carry out pre- and post-sailing hydraulic system checks and inspections. Assist with diagnosing hydraulic faults, leaks, pressure issues, and component failures. Maintain hydraulic pumps, valves, accumulators, actuators, hoses, fittings, manifolds, and associated components. Support hydraulic system setup, testing, bleeding, and pressure checks. Carry out preventative and scheduled maintenance. Identify wear, damage, leaks, or developing issues before they result in failures or lost sailing time. Support troubleshooting and repairs during training operations. Maintain high standards of hydraulic cleanliness and correct handling of fluids and components. Maintain accurate records of servicing, inspections, faults, repairs, and component changes. Manage hydraulic-specific tooling, spares, fittings, hoses, fluids, and consumables. Work closely with mechanical, electrical, boatbuilding, and engineering personnel when troubleshooting issues. Support visiting SailGP teams during training periods and assist with efficient boat preparation and turnaround. Assist the wider technical and shore team as required. Experience & Skills We are looking for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and practical approach to troubleshooting and maintenance. Previous hydraulic experience is beneficial but extensive specialist hydraulic experience is not essential. Candidates with transferable mechanical or technical skills who are motivated to develop their hydraulic knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Previous SailGP, America's Cup, or high-performance sailing experience is not required.
