Job Description
Overview:
Join our team at Weld Works Inc., a small family business, dedicated to quality workmanship and tackling challenging projects. As an employee with us, you will play a vital role in building and repairing a very wide range of metal products, including agricultural equipment, ag drainage pumps, industrial machinery, and many custom jobs. If you have a passion for problem solving, a knack for understanding the mechanics of how parts work together, and working with a variety of metals, this opportunity is for you.Responsibilities:
- Examine broken or worn customer items to determine repair requirements
- Fabricate parts using tools such as shear, press brake, lathe, iron worker, mill, grinders, welders, torch, CNC plasma table, hand tools, etc.
- Utilize skills and experience to repair items and restore them to working condition
- Communicate effectively with customers both over the phone and in person
- Handle farm and heavy equipment repairs with precision
- Back trailers and equipment into the shop as needed
- Accurately use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear steel toe boots for protection
- Lift objects weighing up to 50+ pounds when necessary
Skills:
- Eager to learn and gain experience with each project
- Welding experience preferred, but would consider training the right person
- Experience in metal fabrication to make parts as necessary for repair or new builds
- Familiarity with operating a forklift, ag equipment and heavy equipment.
- Competence in using tools and making accurate measurements
- Ability to fabricate and assemble metal components accurately
- Skill in understanding the mechanical aspects of equipment functions
