Job Description

Job Overview We are a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Maintenance professional to join our Levee & Drainage District team. In this role, you will operate and maintain electric and diesel-powered pumps at stations across the District. You will also operate a variety of construction machinery, including excavators, dozers, and tractors to maintain the flood protection levee and drainage system. Duties Operate and maintain electric motor and diesel engine powered pumps at pumping stations. Operate heavy construction equipment such as short reach, long reach and mini excavators, as well as dozers, dump trucks and tractors. Spray and maintain rights-of-way along drainage ditches. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on machinery and pumping station equipment. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and maintenance schedules. Support construction site activities by coordinating with team members on equipment needs and operational logistics. Qualifications Experience operating heavy construction machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment. Valid commercial driver's license. Valid commercial spray license. Construction site experience with skills in excavation, grading, drainage is highly desirable. Ability to perform construction utility locating accurately and efficiently. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work safely within a team environment. Pay:
$25.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
