The Shop Mechanic plays an essential role in maintaining equipment readiness, minimizing downtime, and supporting the overall health and reliability of the fleet. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established processes while adhering to company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Repair and maintain rental equipment in accordance with OEM and company standards Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components as needed Access and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and databases to obtain diagnostic information, repair procedures, and parts necessary for maintenance and repairs Inspect, test and verify the proper operation of all repairs before returning equipment back to service Proactively inspect units for signs of wear or potential issues and address them to ensure proper operation and minimize downtime Complete all job-related documents, parts requests, and update work orders with labor and repair details promptly and accurately Communicate job progress to supervisor and customer as needed Ensure all company tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained, clean, and in working order Maintain cleanliness of service bays, common areas, and workstations. Support overall branch appearance and readiness Assist with equipment washing, staging, and organization Complete all assigned training courses in a timely and proficient manner Work safely at all times, adhering to all company policies, procedures, and industry standards. Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding workplace and vehicle safety Follow established processes and procedures in day-to-day job functionality Any and all other duties assigned.
